In terms of the major brands, for something like this the Geek Squad really is the best, as they have invested time into figuring out how to actually fix the problem and returning your computer to a working state, the first time, every time. Circuit City’s Firedogs and virtually all local shops do not offer the same level of service currently.

Don’t expect wherever you take it to to be cheap, however. If you want good service, you really have to pay for it.

Heart bypass Operations on the NHS?
Hi Guys, excuse the terminology here. My dad went into hospital on Monday 1st Feb to have some tubes put into his arteries.. in his chest and legs. Ok, he had the op on Tuesday morning and we were unable to visit him as the hospital had a virus. At 4am on Saturday the 6th Feb, he discharges himself!!!, this is only just 4 days after the op. Now he says they didn’t do anything, they just cut him open and then stapled him back up. He has a cut from his throat to groin and a small incision in his neck (camera possibly?). Would they really cut you open that much and not do anything? Surely the camera would have shown them first if they couldn’t do a thing? He is a high risk case as he is overweight 20stone at 6ft 2. The hospital will not tell me or my mum what has gone on, they say they cannot discuss it. Any advice on where we go from here? My dad believes he hasn’t had an operation, just been cut open. It’s bizarre.
My mum has just spoken to the gp… they did cut him open full stretch and performed an exploratary on him… that’s all. This wasn’t explained at his consultation
